West Fresno Gang Member Arrested with a Rifle

FRESNO - On Wednesday, January 10, 2018, just after 7pm, Fresno Police Department Southwest Special Response Team (SRT) Officers Christopher Takemoto and Yessie Hernandez observed a wanted felon driving in the area of Jensen and Cherry Avenues.

Officers were able to identify the solo occupant driver as 32-year-old Randy Flowers, a Fresno resident and known TWAMP gang associate. Flowers was able to gain distance away from the officers before they could conduct a traffic stop.

A short while later, officers located Flowers’ vehicle parked at a residence in the 2100 block of south Ivy Avenue. A perimeter was set around the residence with the assistance of Skywatch and patrol. Utilizing the public address system individuals inside the residence were called out to officers. Ultimately, Flowers exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

Flowers is on active felony AB109 probation for conspiring to commit pimping of a minor. During a probation compliance search of his bedroom officers located a Springfield 1903 .30-06 bolt-action rifle. Flowers was subsequently arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for an active probation violation warrant and for possessing a rifle as a prior convicted felon.
