Fresno Woman Wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon

FRESNO - The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a female wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Mayhem. A warrant has been issued for 29 year old Karen Valadez of Fresno. (Two pictures of her are shown)

On Saturday October 14, Deputies responded to the 3400 block of East Clinton for a report of a disturbance involving knives and a bat. Upon arriving at the location, everyone was gone from the scene. A short time later, a female with multiple stab wounds arrived at Community Regional Medical Center. Deputies determined that the two calls were related. The victim had several non-life threatening wounds.

After interviewing the victim, deputies learned that the two females knew each other and agreed to meet at the Clinton address to settle an earlier disagreement. When the victim arrived at the Clinton address to speak with Valadez, a male exited the residence with a bat followed by Valadez who was holding two knives. The victim and Valadez began to fight and Valadez stabbed the victim several times. Detectives have been trying to locate Valadez but have been unable to find her.
