Madera Resident Arrested Following Child Molestation Investigation

MADERA -Jesse Harley Davis, a 30-year-old Madera resident, was arrested following an investigation by Madera County Sheriff’s Detectives. MCSO Deputies took a report of a sexual assault on a minor.
Following that report, Detective M. Chavez initiated an investigation, which revealed a juvenile male had been the victim of ongoing sexual assault by the suspect over the period of several years.
On July 2, 2021, Jesse Harley Davis was taken into custody and booked into the Madera County Jail on felony charges of Sodomy w/ person under 14 years old with force (8 counts), Oral Copulation: Victim under 14, defendant 10 years older (2 counts), Oral Copulation: Victim under 14, defendant 10 years older (5 counts), Sodomy: Victim under 14 years by force/threat/duress (5 counts), Engaging in 3 or more acts of substantial conduct with a child under 14 (1 count). Davis remains in custody.
Madera Conty Sheriff Tyson Pogue states, “Detective Chavez’s swift and thorough investigation removed this predator from the victim’s life. Though difficult cases to investigate, we remain dedicated to pursuing justice for these victims.”
