Fairmead Party Turns Deadly – One Dead Two More Injured

MADERA COUNTY -- A party turned deadly in Fairmead shortly after midnight Friday. One person is dead, two others hospitalized – all three victims of gunshot wounds.

According to reports, Deputies responded to complaints of loud music at a home located on Sinclair Drive (located near Road 19 ½ and Avenue 22 ½).

The host was advised to turn it off, which he did, but turned it back up after deputies left. Deputies were called out again and while heading back to the house to shut the party down shots rang out. When they arrived, 1 person was dead, and two others injured.

The name of the decedent (19-year old male) is not being released at this hour. A second victim is expected to recover from injuries he sustained. The condition of the third victim is not known at this hour.

More than 100 people were on scene when two people reportedly opened fire.

One shooter described as a dark complected Hispanic male in his early 20’s, standing roughly 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 216 pounds. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a white t-shirt. The second shooter was wearing a red t-shirt. He stands about 5 feet eight inches tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds.

This is the only information the Madera Sheriff’s Office was able to release at this time.
