Bob Blankenship (80)

Bob Dale Blankenship (80), passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, in Fresno, CA. He was born to Clifford and Katie (Brannum) Blankinship in Milo, OK, and was a resident of Madera, CA for 45 years. He was an Auto Tech for the California Highway Patrol for 32 years until his retirement.

Bob, was raised in the San Joaquin Valley and graduated from Tranquility High School in the class of 1959. He was a founding member of the Clovis 4-Wheel Drive Club, and for 25 years helped organize Madera Sober Grad. He was also deeply involved in Habitat for Humanity in Santa Rosa, CA. A few of his passions in life were fishing and car racing. In his younger days, he spent much time at the Kearney Bowl working on racecars and enjoying the races.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen of Madera, his son Terry Blankenship and his wife Kelly of Fairfax, VA., his grandchildren, Caitlyn Blankenship and Brandon, and his wife Mary Chandler Blankenship. He is also survived by his brothers Jack Blankenship and his wife Phyllis and Ron Blankinship and his wife Barbara.

Visitation will be held Sat. Oct. 24, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at Jay Chapel in Madera, CA.
