Frances Elizabeth Breedlove (83)

Frances Elizabeth Breedlove (83) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 28th, 2021. She was surrounded by loved ones. In her last few years, she was cared for by her granddaughter Heidi and great-granddaughter Maddie. Frankie was born in Tulare, CA to Victor and Nora Miller. Frankie moved from Southern California to Madera with her husband Howard in 1969.

Frankie worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for a few years before starting a small business in Madera called the Pant Shack. Eventually, Frankie and Howard started Madera Roofing, Inc. in 1975. She also volunteered for several organizations. She enjoyed giving her time as a den mother for Cub Scouts, the school library, and PTA. She was a member of a small music group and loved playing the banjo. They would sing at different convalescent homes in Madera, bringing joy and comfort to the residents. In addition to work and volunteering, Frankie was an avid bowler.

Frances was a devoted Christian and Christ was always the center of her life. Soon after moving to Madera, she began attending Grace Assembly Church, now known as Yosemite Christian Center. Frankie was a part of Women’s Ministry (WM’s), hosted Bible studies in her home, and was in prayer groups.

Frankie moved to Fresno in 2001. In her later years, she loved spending all of her time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing board games, talking about the Lord with her family, and making memories on family vacations. Before Howard’s passing, Frances cared for him while he was going through his treatments. They spent many nights reminiscing about the good ol’ days.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Ann, Wanda, and Herman. She is survived by her three children, daughter Elaine Walson and her husband Rob of Coarsegold, and her daughter Debbie Burnett and her husband Bart of Coarsegold, and her son Vic Breedlove and his wife Jennifer of Fresno. She is the beloved grandma to Jacob, Brandy, Heidi, Russell, Victoria, Allison, and Tyler. She has several great-grandchildren as well.

A celebration of Frances’ life will be held at Cross City Church of Fresno on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11 A.M. Interment will be in Arbor Vitae Cemetery Mausoleum in Madera.
