Bulldogs McMaryion Named MW Offensive Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State junior quarterback Marcus McMaryion was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.

McMaryion signals the Bulldogs' fifth MW player of the week nod this season, but first of the offensive variety. The last Bulldog to claim an offensive player of the week award was Derek Carr on Nov. 25, 2013.

McMaryion guided Fresno State to its first win versus a ranked opponent since 2004 with a career-high 332 yards passing, besting a previous high of 327 while at Oregon State (Oct. 29, 2016 at Washington State), doing so against a Boise State passing defense that entered the game allowing only 203.4 yards per game.

Stat Line: 23-of-36, 332 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs

• Had a 159.7 QB efficiency rating, completing 64 percent of his passes at a clip of 14.4 yards per completion.
