MADERA - The 2013 season of the Madera District Fair came to an end Sunday evening. The last day of the fair featured an early-bird special on wristbands for carnival rides and thousands of Maderan's took advantage of the savings.
The animals from Saturday's livestock sale were moved out for processing and the FFA and 4H kids finally got to go home after a week of working with their animals.
There was a Latin theme to the fair on Sunday with traditional Hispanic dancing and music around the grounds and a concert Sunday evening by Larry Hernandez who was late showing up to the fairgrounds for the show.
The Tulare County and Watsonville fairs start this week and next month the Big Fresno Fair opens for it's two week run.
