MADERA - Over 1700 third graders from the school's of the Madera Unified School District descended on the Madera Fairgrounds for Kid's Day. The kids went through the buildings and visited the racing pigs and learned more about what Bee's do for our society. This weekend the Madera Fair is the Place to Bee..
Local clubs like the Breakfast Lions and Rotary poured beer to those of legal age. And the Pan American fired up their grills for burgers and tacos. In fact if you are looking for the best food value at the fair, the Pan American Club has a taco at a price that can't be matched.
On the main stage Dwight Yoakam played all of his old hits. Yoakam delivered the Bakersfield sound that he has built a 30 plus year career on the charts and left his fans very satitisfied.
Today the kids of the local FFA's and 4H clubs will be selling their animals at the Madera Junior Livestock Sale. Monies raised at the auction pay for the kids projects and the auction is sponsored by the Madera Kiwanis Club. Later tonight the rock band Foreigner will take the stage. Tickets are still available at the fair's box office.
