Warren & Hyatt Named Madera South Homecoming King and Queen: Bill Coate Grand Marshall

MADERA - The Madera South Stallions celebrated homecoming Friday with a come-from-behind win on the gridiron against The Fresno High Warriors 61-40. Other winners Friday night were Jayvion Warren and Brianna Hyatt who were crowned the 2015 homecoming king and queen during half time.

Jayvion Warren is the son of Brandi Williams and Gerald Warren. He is involved in link crew, and has played Stallion football all 4 years of high school. In his spare time, he enjoys going to church youth group meetings, hanging out with friends and family, and going on missionary trips. His plans after high school are to attend Grand Canyon University and major in nursing.

The 118th Graduating Class of Madera High School Dares to Dream

MADERA - With their parents watching from the bleachers of Madera's Memorial Stadium, the 188th graduating class from Madera High School stepped towards their future Friday night. Over 500 students accepted their diplomas and are preparing for their service to our country, futures in college or just starting their life's.

Guest speaker Larry Powell, former Fresno County Superintendent of Education, told the graduates that no matter what life presenting them they would never lose their value. Student speakers delivered the message to Dare to Dream.

Seventh Time is a Charm for Madera South Graduation

MADERA -  The seventh graduating class from Madera South High School took their first steps into their future Thursday night at Memorial Stadium. Some will head to Fresno State, some will head to the military, all will remember the words of the keynote speaker Dr. Robert "Bobby" Cargill.

Following the graduation ceremony, some of the graduating class went back to the school for the annual Sober Graduation Party sponsored by the California Highway Patrol. Games, music, and food were provided by local sponsors and at the end of the night one graduate went home with a not-so brand new car from GT Auto Sales.

Super Heros Galore at Madera South Homecoming - Sanger Over South 41-14

MADERA - The super heroes from the DC Comics and the Marvel world descended on Madera South Friday for a parade and a football game. Before it was all over a new king and queen sat on their thrones with Superman and Wonder Woman looking on.

Homecoming 2014 for Madera South took on a comic book super hero theme with villains and heroes marching down Stadium Road for the kids of the Purple track. This year's homecoming parade passed in from of Madison and Alpha Schools with students from the rest of Madera South's feeder elementary schools bused in to watch the fun. Even the Desmond Middle School football team had a float in the parade.

Lukas Boehm & Jennifer Pulido Crowned 2014 Madera High Homecoming King & Queen

MADERA - The students of Madera High School celebrated homecoming this week and concluded the festivities with a parade, football game and the crowning of new royalty Friday.

A parade snaked its way to Memorial Stadium, the site of Friday nights football game, through the streets of Madera. Starting at Thomas Jefferson Middle School on Sunset Avenue. Several Coyote alumni lined the streets of the parade route to support their school. Around the high school, several of the feeder elementary schools to Madera High bused students to the end of the parade on Olive Avenue.
