Madera - The Madera Old Timers Day Parade stepped off Saturday morning with Don and Katie Warnock as this years grand marshals. Hundreds of Maderan's lined the sidewalks of East Yosemite Avenue as hundreds of participants marched from Flume Street to G Street across from the Madera County Court House Park. Families wowed as horses, bands, fire trucks, cheerleaders, dancers and karate men performed all along the parade route. Despite it being strictly forbidden by the parade's rules politicians threw candy to the kids watching the parade. Following the parade everyone gathered at the park for steaks and tacos. The parade was sponsored by the Madera Kiwanis Club.
