MADERA - The County of Madera will launch a new phone and online service on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 to help the County's residents connect with government agencies for non-emergency issues.Citizens can connect with "311 - At Your Service" by dialing 311 to reach an operator Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, or by visiting www.madco311.com anytime after August 1st. 311 operators will provide information, take service requests and refer callers to government agencies.
You must be within the Madera County boundaries when dialing 311 from any cell phone or land line. "We're excited to launch this new service for Madera County residents," said Eric Fleming, Chief Administrative Officer of Madera County.
"311 will provide our citizens with a much easier line of communciation to government agencies, and will give Madera County Officials an additional opportunity to understand the community's needs. We would like to thank the County Board of Supervisors for their approval and support of the 311 program," said Fleming.
"311 - At Your Service" is available within Madera County only, and will provide services in both English and Spanish. Citizens of Madera County can use 311 to:
* Obtain Information - How can I register to vote? Where can I get my child immunized? * Report Problems - There is a large pothole on a county road. I need to report trouble with an animal. * Request Services - I am struggling and need someone to talk to. I need to schedule a building inspection. Information regarding Madera County's "311 - At Your Service" program has begun to go out to County residents, and outreach will continue through the coming weeks.
