Both victims had non-life threatening gunshot wounds to their legs. The married couple was sleeping in their bed when gunshots were fired into their bedroom from a window. The husband (49) and wife (47) were treated and released from Community Regional Medical Center. Street Violence Section Felony Assault Detectives Michael Gebhart and Conrado Martin responded to the location. They identified Lisa Alarcon (24) as the suspect responsible for the shooting. Alarcon is the daughter of the victims. According to statements, Alarcon was at the residence earlier in the evening and was upset with her parents. A citizen reported seeing Lisa Alarcon 24 year old of Fresno on Thursday inside the residence in the 900 block of Inyo. Officers from the Southwest Policing District, the Southeast Policing district and the Fresno Police Departments K-9 unit responded and set up a perimeter around this residence. Once the location was contained, the residents were called out and questioned about Alarcon’s location. It was confirmed she was in the residence but she refused several commands to exit and surrender to officers. After approximately two hours, a Sergeant from the Fresno Police Department Negotiator Unit was able to make contact with Alarcon and convince her to surrender herself. She walked out of the residence and was taken into custody without any further incident. Alarcon was transported to Fresno Police Department Headquarters to be questioned regarding outstanding warrants for Assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect Lisa Alarcon was booked into the Fresno County Jail and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. If anybody has information regarding this case they are asked to contact Fresno Police Department Street Violence Section Felony Assault Detective Michael Gebhart at (559) 621-2423 or Detective Conrado Martin at (559) 621-2421. Citizens with information can also call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP. As always, citizens who provide information will remain anonymous and may receive a reward of up to $1000.
