 Robert C. Pitman (93) has joined his wife, Ruth in their eternal reward in Heaven. Bob passed away on Saturday morning in the Veterans Hospital Community Living Center, Fresno following a short hospital stay.
He is the last of the five Pitman brothers, Edgar, Don, Rinard and Willard, a well-known family from the early days of Madera County. His early education was in the One Room School house called Webster School where his Mother Mary Alice Pitman was his teacher. He graduated from Madera High School in 1937, later attending UC Davis in 1939.

 Flora Minneti (94) was born on August 11, 1918 in Magdalena New Mexico to Gumecindo Benavides and Marcelina Benavides Santillanes. Her mother died in the Great Flu Pandemic of 1918 when Flora was 3 months old.
As a young woman, Flora worked for her father, who was the County Clerk in Lemitar, New Mexico. Her typing skill became legendary and when WWII broke out, she joined the US Navy Waves, where her skills were put to use by Naval Intelligence.

 Louis Richard Moosios (91) passed away peacefully due to complications from treatment for pancreatic cancer on April 25, 2013, in Fresno, California. He was born in Fresno, California on October 17, 1921, to Sam and Henrietta (Salazar) Moosios.
His father and uncle together bought a ranch in Madera along the San Joaquin River in the 1920's where he was raised. Louis was a farmer, raising all types of vegetables and thousands of sheep. He also hauled watermelons and other produce to San Francisco.

 Carole J. Skeels (68) was born June 7, 1944 to Sidney and Della (Cox) Dotson in Madera, CA she entered into eternity on Monday, April 22, 2013 in Fresno, CA after a lengthy heart condition. Carole attended local elementary and high schools. She went on to Fresno City College and obtained her L.V.N. license. In 1965 Carole started worked in the medical field, the last 10 years of her career she was as an O.R. Technician, she retired in 1990 after 25 years. She was accomplished and respected in the operating room. Many Doctors refused to perform a procedure if she was not there to assist.

 Helen Sambueso (81) In loving memory of wife & mother, Helen Sambueso, age 81, a native of Fresno, CA and a resident of Madera, CA for 67 years passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Fresno. She was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church and the Y.L.I.
She was a partner in the former Hal's Market in Madera. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time in her garden.
