MADERA - The Madera South Stallions celebrated their fourth annual homecoming this year and the theme was 'Stallions Reignite the Olympic Torch'. On Friday a parade started at Memorial Stadium on Coyote Lane and worked its way to the boys gym at the Madera South campus.
This years grand marshal was Bob Madson, former vice principal of the school and now part-time golfer. Madson spent the last thirty plus years in education, a family vocation, and was vice principal at both South and Madera High School.

MADERA - The Madera Coyotes won their homecoming game against Tulare Western Friday night 41-10. Running back Michael Say who rushed for 58-yards and scored a touchdown on a 52-yard pass from Nathaniel Nelson, was also crowned MHS 2012 Homecoming King.
His queen for the night was Samantha Tiscareno. She is a member of the tennis, track and basketball teams. She is a member of Interact, the ASB and Block M. Samantha plans to attend UC Irvine and major in psychology.

MADERA - Like the night before a senior class from a Madera high school took to Lee DaSilva Field at Memorial Stadium for another graduation. Friday night is was Madera South High School's turn and with more graduating seniors they were able to finish their ceremonies a half hour faster than their 115 year old counter-part.
The fourth graduating class from Madera South stepped towards their future as one of their vice principals, Bob Madison, ended his career with retirement from Madera Unified. Over 500 seniors accepted their diplomas and went off to start the life's or put that on hold until after college while their parents and friends watched in the standing room only stadium.

MADERA - The 115 graduating class from Madera High School walked into their future Thursday night at Memorial Stadium Thursday night. With over 8000 friends and family members filling the stadium to watch nearly 450 or so graduates walk on the stage to accept their deploma.
Senior class president Shirley Munguia presented the school the class gift which will be new fiberglass podiuma. Aska Fayyaz, Momna Khalil,Tianna Williams, Cassie Niino and Kevin Tesoli all gave speeches to their class.

Madera – Madera South High School celebrated their third homecoming in a big way. The varsity football team, which is ranked 19th in the Valley by the bias Fresno Bee, destroyed the Fresno High Warriors 54-6. The 8-1 Stallions, who are undefeated in North Yosemite League play, got three touchdowns from Donald Caballero and five others from a host of Stallions. If Madera South can beat the struggling McLane Highlanders next week, they will clinch their first league championship in the schools history and head into playoffs with a high seeding.
