CHOWCHILLA - Advance sale tickets are now on sale for the Chowchilla Fair. Save up to 28% off gate admission with advance admission tickets and save 40% on advance sale carnival coupons. Coupons can be exchanged during the fair for a one day, unlimited rides wristband or 30 carnival tickets. Advance sale tickets and coupons are on sale now through Thursday, May 16th until 3pm or while supplies last.

Country Music Legend George Jones Dies at Age 81 Print E-mail

NASHVILLE TN – Country Music Hall of Famer, Grand Ole Opry member, and Kennedy Center Honoree George Glenn Jones died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was hospitalized April 18 with fever and irregular blood pressure.
Born September 12, 1931, Jones is regarded among the most important and influential singers in American popular music history. He was the singer of enduring country music hits including “She Thinks I Still Care,” “The Grand Tour,” “Walk Through This World With Me,” “Tender Years” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” the latter of which is often at the top of industry lists of the greatest country music singles of all time.

Big Time Rush is back with another big time tour, their third road trip in two years.

HOLLYWOOD, CA. - The American boy band went big with their Nickelodeon TV series by the same name, which aired in 2009. The group’s debut album BTR, released in October of 2010 became a huge hit and sold over five million copies worldwide.

Their second album, Boyfriend, was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Their next album called Elevate achieved similar success, selling over 70,000 copies in its first week.

SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA - One of the most acclaimed and longest running blues festival on the West Coast the Santa Cruz Blues Festival [SCBF] will be held on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th & 26th, 2013 in the historic town of Aptos, just 9 miles south of Santa Cruz.

Charlie Daniels Recovers After Pacemaker Surgery Print E-mail

MOUNT JULIET, TN – Grand Ole Opry star Charlie Daniels is recovering after having a pacemaker implanted today (3-28), at a Nashville area hospital.

During a doctor visit on Monday (3-25), Charlie was diagnosed with a mild case of pneumonia and admitted to the hospital for a series of routine tests. The tests revealed that a pacemaker was needed to regulate his heart rate.
