Dunkin’ Donuts Debuts in Madera with Grand Opening of New Restaurant at WalMart

MADERA – Dunkin’ Donuts kicked off the opening of its newest restaurant in Madera with a grand opening celebration on Tuesday morning the Madera Wal-Mart on West Cleveland Avenue. The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Madera Mayor Andy Medellin. Customers of Wal-Mart and Dunkin’ Donuts gobbled up special giveaways and product samples and had photo opportunities with Dunkin’ Donuts’ iconic mascot, Cuppy.

As part of the grand opening, Dunkin’ Donuts made a $1000 charitable donation to Valley Children’s Hospital. The hospital’s mascot George showed up to accept the check and take photos with kids and eat up some delicious donuts.

The restaurant will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven days a week. It is equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi for patrons, a flat screen TV and will employ approximately 45 staff members, all from Madera.

Alfred Rodriguez from Madera was the first in line and received a gift card for $150. He started the line at eleven o'clock last night and waited eight hours for the store to open. Rodriguez said he had never been to a Dunkin’ Donuts before but that he really liked donuts, chocolate being his favorite.

One customer in line said he hailed from Chicago and that Dunkin’ Donuts was the working-mans coffee brand. “They sell coffee in real sizes for real people. They have the same foofoo drinks as the brand from Seattle but they aren’t pretentious in their presentation.”

The new location is also part of Dunkin’ Donuts’ DD Green™ Achievement program, which aims to help franchisees build sustainable, energy-efficient restaurants. Customers of all ages will be able to enjoy Dunkin’ Donuts’ quintessential menu of specialty coffees, espresso beverages and sweet treats at the new location, including a wide selection of donuts made without artificial dyes.

This restaurant is the second Dunkin’ Donuts location in the Central Valley for franchisee Madison Food Management, LLC, which plans to open a total of 37 stores statewide; 26 new locations in Fresno and San Francisco over the next few years.

Dunkin’ Donuts is a world leading coffee brand and we’re also committed to the local communities we serve,” said Aharon Aminpour, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee. “We are proud to bring Dunkin’ to Madera and to support Valley Children’s Hospital and all it does for families in the Central Valley.”

The Madera restaurant offers a wide selection of the brand’s beverage offerings, including high-quality, freshly-brewed Hot and Iced Coffees, a full menu of Premium Hot Teas, donuts, bakery goods and sandwiches. All Dunkin’ Donuts menu items are available any time of day, and guests are encouraged to customize their favorite food and beverages.
