Michael “ Mike” Padilla, Sr. (65), a native and life resident of Madera passed away March 11, 2021. He was born to Joseph and Jessie Velez Padilla and attended local schools. Mike was a graduate of Madera High School class of 1974. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for 20 years then became the I.T. Supervisor for Madera County where he worked for 18 years.

Mike owned and operated M & M Computers and worked for various farming operations in Madera County. He enjoyed working with the youth of the community. He coached baseball in Little League and Babe Ruth for 18 years.

Mike is preceded by his brother Joe Padilla. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Rosemary Padilla of Madera, his children Michael Padilla, Jr. and his wife Alina of Madera, Adam Padilla of Madera, Elino Lucero of Merced, Michael Slyter and his wife Ashley of Fresno, and his only daughter Breann Padilla of Madera. He leaves behind his brothers, Art Padilla and Raul Diaz, Sr. both of Madera, in addition to his sisters Rosemary Montelongo, Lydia Jimenez, Becky Flores, and Susie Sanchez. Grandchildren: Jazzy, Victoria, Lexi, Korina, Nathan, and Adrina.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Jay Chapel followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. also at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Madera, CA

Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Madera, CA
