Frank & Arline Vincent

Frank and Arline Vincent recently passed away just months part. Frank Vincent was born January 30, 1937 to William Standley Vincent and Myrtle Braithwaite. Frank passed away March 22 in Madera, CA. His services were held April 2 at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah. Arline Hall was born January 4, 1936, in Payson, Utah to James Armond Hall and Naomi Finlayson. Arline passed away May 6 in Madera, CA

Frank and Arline were married in Southern California in 1955 where they started their family and resided for a number of years. They and their children then relocated to Ohio but didn’t stay long as it was too far from family and nothing like Utah. So, they returned to Madera, CA for the remainder of their lives. Madera was home, where they finished raising their children and enjoyed many memories with their grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Douglas "Doug" Gene Melikian (75)

Douglas "Doug" Gene Melikian (75), of Fresno, CA passed away on April 19, 2022 at St Agnes Medical center. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and his hilarious sense of humor. Whether you believed his stories, he truly brought life to the party.

Doug was born on February 1, 1947 to Buck and Mary Koligian Melikian who farmed in rural Madera County where he attended grammar school at Easton Arcola and graduated from Madera High School Class of 1965 shortly after, he attended Fresno City College. The Melikian Family were prominent members of the Madera Community where his father served on the School Board, and his mother was a member of the well known Koligian Family of Fresno. The Melikian Family were also members of St. Paul Armenian Church of Fresno.

Agnes Lucy Loquaci (94)

Agnes Lucy Loquaci (94) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Agnes Lucy Loquaci, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully snuggled safely in her home surrounded by her family on April 23, 2022, 18 days after celebrating her 94th birthday.

Agnes was born in Fresno, Calif on April 5, 1928 to Albert and Lucy Bagdazian. Five years later her sister Margie was born. She grew up on a farm in Mendota, Calif. surrounded by cantaloupes and pomegranate trees. She attended Tranquility High School where she played the drums in the school band. After graduating in 1947, she attended business college in Fresno while living at the YWCA. Returning to Mendota to work for a CPA, Agnes met the love of her life – Edward Loquaci of Madera. They were married in 1950 and soon thereafter welcomed son Stephen in 1951, daughter Carol in 1952 and daughter Gail in 1961.

Elvis Wayne Scroggins (91)

Elvis Wayne Scroggins (91), a native of Altus, OK and a resident of Madera for 24 years and a former resident of San Jose, CA, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Madera 2nd Ward and served in various areas in the church. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Navy.

Wayne drove truck most all of his life. He moved countless numbers families for Mayflower and finished his career with CTS Trucking. In all he spent 50 plus years serving people in the area of logistical cartage.

James Alan "Jim" Page (62)

James Alan "Jim" Page (62) of Fresno passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022, with his family by his side. Jim was born March 9, 1960, in Cadillac, Michigan. He was the third of four children born to John Arthur Page Sr. and Joyce Mae Page (nee Gilbraith). Jim lived in Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, and California.

He attended Delano and Monache High Schools and was a talented percussionist and all-state honor band student. His music skills allowed him to travel to Scotland and Ireland as a student. Jim was a member of the marching band where he was drumline section leader. He played in school pep and jazz bands, and a rock band.
