LOS ANGELES -  Multi-Platinum Thrash Metal pioneers MEGADETH will celebrate the band's 35^th Anniversary all year long, with special releases, exclusive merch items, and one-of-a-kind events and opportunities for fans worldwide. Legendary MEGADETH founder Dave Mustaine will also celebrate the band's anniversary on his weekly radio show. MEGADETH's announcement comes two years to the day since the release of their acclaimed, GRAMMY®-winning album, Dystopia, on January 22, 2016.

"When I started MEGADETH, I didn't imagine myself living for 35 years, let alone my band reaching this incredible milestone," says Dave Mustaine. "Thanks to almost everyone I've met, worked, and played with these last three and a half decades."

NEW YORK -  The National Limousine Association's Ride Responsibly™ initiative and Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment (PAVE) have joined forces to produce a public service campaign, starring actress, activist and sexual violence survivor Pamela Anderson. The PSA draws attention to the vast number of sexual assaults that have occurred in ride-hailing vehicles and questions if these were caused by insufficient background check procedures. This PSA serves as a call-to-action following alarming revelations of sexual harassment and assault that reach far beyond Hollywood and Washington, D.C.

The video, titled "The Signs", is Pamela's second PSA for the Ride Responsibly initiative, and comes on the heels of the #MeToo movement. The PSA is a stark reminder that even getting from point A to B carries risk, particularly if you are not conscientious of the service that you choose. 

LOS ANGELES - This is Us (Original Score), a companion to the show America loves, is available today via UMe for download purchase and streaming. With 23 original pieces from composer/musician Siddhartha Khosla's compelling score for the NBC hit show, the album is curated by "This Is Us" Creator/Executive Producer Dan Fogelman and his team, music supervisor Jennifer Pyken and Khosla. Each musical element is carefully woven throughout the series, with the evocative score and songs clearly defining a moment or serving as a gentle guide through the complex emotional journey.

"Dan Fogelman's extraordinary gift as a storyteller and his ability to write beautifully about the human condition inspires me," says Khosla. "My approach to the score is simple and timeless: A $25 beaten up acoustic guitar from a thrift store in Vermont, vintage acoustic guitars, my voice, hand-tapping on my wooden table to create the rhythmic pulse, and cellos. These sounds feel appropriate to support the raw emotional energy of the show.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Don McLean, one of America's best-known singer-songwriters, was recently honored with two awards from BMI (Broadcast Music,Inc.), recognizing his long-standing career and outstanding contributions to the music industry through the iconic hits "American Pie” and “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night).”

Don was presented with his Million-Air certifications at the BMI offices in Nashville, Tennessee and accepted the coveted awards from BMI executives Jody Williams, (VP, Creative) and Mason Hunter (Assistant VP, Creative). A Million-Air Award is given to songwriters, composers, and publishers whose songs accumulate over one million U.S. broadcast performances. The acknowledgement is a mark of praise. The two tracks honored, played back-to-back, would total nearly 56 years of continuous airplay.

HOLLYWOOD – Actress-comedian Tiffany Haddish and actor-director Andy Serkis, joined by Academy President John Bailey, announced the 90th Academy Awards^® nominations yesterday live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater via a global live stream on Oscar.com, Oscars.org, the Academy’s digital platforms, a satellite feed and broadcast media.

Haddish and Serkis announced the nominees in 11 categories at 5:22 a.m. PT, with pre-taped category introductions by Academy members Priyanka Chopra, Rosario Dawson, Gal Gadot, Salma Hayek, Michelle Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, Molly Shannon, Rebel Wilson and Michelle Yeoh. Haddish and Serkis announced the remaining 13 categories at 5:38 a.m. PT.
