Christmas Tree Lane Set to Open for 97th Time

FRESNO - For the 97th year, Christmas Tree Lane will light up in Fresno. Nearly 150 homes and 300 trees will be on display for a two mile long stretch of road.  It opens to the public free of charge on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 and runs from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm. This will also be a walk night, so no vehicles will be allowed to drive on Van Ness Blvd. between Shields and Shaw Avenues.

A second walk night is scheduled for Tuesday, December 12th from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Again, no vehicles will be allowed. Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies will be patrolling the area on foot and on horseback for security reasons and to assist the public.

Thanksgiving Holiday Travel Tips from Fresno Yosemite International Airport

FRESNO – Airports across the nation, including Fresno Yosemite International Airport, are anticipating increased passenger activity during the 2017 Thanksgiving travel period.  Airline trade organization Airlines for America projects passenger volumes on U.S. airlines will exceed 2016 Thanksgiving holiday travel by 3 percent during the 12-day travel period beginning Friday, November 17 through Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

Passengers are strongly encouraged to arrive at the airport up to two hours prior to domestic flights and up to three hours prior to international flights.  TSA Pre✓® for expedited security screening is available at Fresno Yosemite International Airport.  Travelers interested in enrolling in the TSA Pre✓® program may complete an online application process at www.tsa.gov/tsa-precheck or schedule an appointment with the local enrollment center by calling 855-347-8371.

The Music…The Mem'ries…The Magic! Barbra Streisand To Release Concert Album December 8th

NEW YORK - Columbia Records has announced the upcoming release of Barbra Streisand's The Music…The Mem'ries…the Magic! album to debut on December 8th. Fans can pre-order the new album today HERE. On November 22, Netflix will premiere Barbra: The Music…The Mem'ries…the Magic!  The special was filmed on the last stop of the iconic superstar's 13-city 2016 tour, showcasing a career-crowning array of legendary songs also featured on the eagerly anticipated album.

The album is available in two versions (track listings below): A single disc, 19-song album of memorable concert highlights, and a Deluxe 2 disc set featuring the entire concert performance. San Francisco Ballet Announces Program Details for Unbound: A Festival of New Works, April 20-May 6, 2018

SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco Ballet, long recognized for pushing boundaries in dance, has announced the program order and select titles for Unbound: A Festival of New Works, from April 20-May 6, 2018. Unbound, an unprecedented festival of new works, celebrates the city's spirit of curiosity and experimentation.

Over 17 performances, Unbound will include 12 world premieres by international artists including: David Dawson, Alonzo King, Edwaard Liang, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Cathy Marston, Trey McIntyre, Justin Peck, Arthur Pita, Dwight Rhoden, Myles Thatcher, Stanton Welch, and Christopher Wheeldon. The festival, comprised of four programs, will make San Francisco the epicenter of the dance world next spring.
