Disney Parks Reveals the Next Generation of Storytelling

Chapek welcomed thousands of fans as he shared more about the ambitious plans in store for one of the most extraordinary periods of expansion in Disney history. From Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and the timeless transformation of Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort, to the Avengers Campus coming to both Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris, to the Disney Wish arriving on the high seas in January 2022, there are more ways than ever for guests to be front and center in their favorite stories.

De Young Properties Named Builder of HGTV’s Reboot of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”

FRESNO - De Young Properties and the City of Clovis jointly announced today that the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reboot, which will air on HGTV will be in Clovis this summer to film its debut episode. Back in 2009, De Young Properties served as the builder for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition; the first time the show was in Fresno County.

“We are excited to join the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team once again for this life-changing experience,” said Ryan De Young, President of De Young Properties. “While a typical home building process would normally take months for completion, this home will be built in just seven days with the extreme effort and focus of our team and trade partners! There is a great deal of excitement for this project, as is a great need for volunteers. We are asking the community to join our effort and help change a family’s life!”

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Unveiled to the World in Epic Grand Opening Ceremony at Disneyland Park

ANAHEIM - The Walt Disney Company celebrated the momentous dedication of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge tonight in an epic ceremony at Disneyland Park. Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger unveiled the largest and most technologically advanced single-themed land expansion ever in a Disney park, which is set to open to the general public at Disneyland Park on May 31, and also at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on Aug. 29.

"Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is absolutely amazing and we are thrilled to finally share it with the world," said Bob Iger, chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company. "Now, for the first time, fans will be able to immerse themselves in the iconic stories that have captured audiences' imaginations for decades and live their own Star Wars adventures in the most creative, innovative and ambitious land we've ever built."

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Set to Open at Disneyland Resort on May 31

BURBANK - In anticipation of high guest interest, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products announced today it will open Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge ahead of schedule at Disneyland Park in California on May 31 and at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on Aug. 29.

On opening day for phase one, guests will be transported to the remote planet of Batuu, full of unique sights, sounds, smells and tastes. Guests can become part of the story as they sample galactic food and beverages, explore an intriguing collection of merchant shops and take the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
