Halloween Time at the Disneyland Adds More Spooky Fun with Expansion into Disney California Adventure Park

ANAHEIM - A spell is cast during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort as more spooky fun expands into Disney California Adventure Park this year, from Friday, Sept. 15, through Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017.

At Disney California Adventure Park for the first time, Cars Land in Disney California Adventure will transform with a special Haul-O-Ween makeover as the citizens of Radiator Springs don Halloween costumes and decorate their respective homes for the season. Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz, Red and DJ will be all dressed up–as a super hero, a "van-pire," a pirate, a clown and a punk rocker, ready to go "trunk-or-treating." Attractions transform, too, with Mater's Junkyard Jamboree turning spooky as the Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters getting a seasonal twist to become Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween.

Merced Player Started The Weekend In A Winning Way

FRIANT - Petra, from the neighboring community of Merced, started last Friday morning in an exceptionally winning way; by winning Table Mountain Casino's totally random Massive Cash Jackpot. Excitement was building in the Casino, as the Massive Cash meter was climbing steadily and had just reached $144,747.75, when it hit on Petra's penny machine!

The machine stopped, the Massive Cash Jackpot sign lit up and the sounds of winning rang out. A crowd gathered round her machine when players learned that Petra had just won this life-changing jackpot. She was so excited to learn she had won, her smile was absolutely contagious. When asked what she wanted to do after winning this Massive Cash Jackpot of $144,747.75, Petra said, "I want to play some more!"  What a winning attitude from this long-time Table Mountain Casino Player's Club member.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Celebrate 50-Year Anniversary With New Career Retrospective

LOS ANGELES - Continuing the celebration of the legendary Americana band's 50 years of making music together, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's extraordinary career is encapsulated in the new retrospective two-disc set, Anthology, due September 29 via Capitol Nashville/UMe. Beginning with "Buy For Me The Rain," their first track from their 1967 self-titled Capitol records debut, and culminating with "The Resurrection" from their most recent studio release, 2009's Speed of Life, the all-encompassing collection is an extensive 39-track career overview, which includes illuminating liner notes from renowned journalist and author Holly Gleason.

Hanna says, "We really wanted this collection to historically reflect our band's timeline, but in addition to that, felt like it was important to include deeper cuts ("Fish Song," "Cosmic Cowboy") and instrumentals ("Randy Lynn Rag," "Midnight at Woody Creek"), and fan favorites ("Ripplin' Waters," "Bayou Jubilee")." Anthology is available for preorder now:
