SACRAMENTO – There’s a new multimillionaire in California! A SuperLotto Plus ticket, sold in Fremont (Alameda County), matched all six numbers in last night’s draw. The prize – a whopping $27 million! The winner will have the option of taking the $27 million jackpot prize spread out in 30 annual payments, or he or she can take a lump-sum cash amount of $16.6 million (before federal taxes).
As of right now, we do not know who the winner is, and we will not know who the winner is until the prize is claimed. Here’s what we do know: the jackpot-winning ticket was sold at an ARCO AM/PM store located in Fremont (43500 Grimmer Boulevard).
The ticket matched the following six numbers: 18, 1, 32, 25, 9, and the Mega number 17. The owner of the store will receive a retailer bonus of $135,000 just for selling the winning ticket. (The retailer bonus is not subtracted from the winner’s jackpot prize.)
But wait, there’s more! A ticket sold in San Bruno matched five of the six winning numbers (missing only the Mega number) and won $37,433. That ticket was sold at Rollingwood Chevron, which is located at 2001 Rollingwood Drive.
Winners are strongly encouraged to sign the back of their tickets in ink, keep them in a safe place where they’ll remember, and familiarize themselves with our Winner’s Handbook, which can be found here. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their prizes and can do so at one of the Lottery’s nine District Offices located across the state.
