On Wednesday, August 23, 2017, the Fresno Police Department Street Violence Bureau Tactical Team continued to follow up with investigative leads. This led the Tac Team to an apartment complex located in the 2200 block of N. Marks Ave. Tac Team members made contact with a female that was suspected of harboring Angel Morelos, the suspected shooter; however, she denied seeing the suspect in more than 2 weeks. She also said that nobody was at her residence.
The Street Violence Tac Team members felt that she was being untruthful and followed up by attempting to make contact at her residence. Tac Team members located both outstanding suspects, including Angel Morelos and a 17 year old juvenile. Both suspects came to the door and surrendered peacefully.
Currently, detectives are serving a search warrant at the location and looking for additional evidence.
