FRESNO - Fresno Police Officers from the Southwest Policing District, were heading to area of Tuolumne Street and F Street for a disturbance that came out, when they were flagged down by Security Guards from 1435 Fresno St. “Los Arcos”.
Security was pointing to a male subject running eastbound on Tuolumne, stating he just robbed someone. Officer’s were able to follow the subject running and detain him. Once the subject was detained, officer’s also spoke to the victim who confirmed he had been robbed.
The victim told police the subject followed him as he left Los Arcos. As the victim was walking to his taxi cab, the subject came up from behind the victim and punched him in the back of the head. The subject then demanded the victim to give him all of the victim’s money. The subject again began hitting the victim who was now attempting to defend himself.
The victim fell to the ground as he was being attacked, at which time the subject took the victim’s wallet and took off running as security guards arrived to help. The subject detained by police was positively identified as Ramon ARR-Lujan (24) by the victim as the person who had robbed him.
Arr-Lujan admitted to getting into an altercation with the victim and taking his wallet. The wallet was later recovered in the area where ARR-Lujan was taken into custody. ARR-Lujan was also found to be on Felony Probation for assaulting a peace officer while resisting arrest.
ARR-Lujan was booked into Fresno County Jail for PC211 and for violating his terms of probation.
