MADERA – A Madera resident accused of possessing child pornography and manufacturing child pornography even while wearing a monitor strapped to his ankle is back in jail. Sheriff John Anderson says this case was the result of a joint investigation with Homeland Security, CDCR Parole, Madera Police, Madera County Sheriff’s Office, and ICAC (Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force).
FRESNO COUNTY - Sheriff Margaret Mims today announced the arrest of Spencer Scarber, the 20 year old convicted rapist who fled the United States prior to the end of his criminal trial. Scarber was arrested in Mexico earlier this week.
FRESNO - Fresno MAGEC completed a five day gang operation Sunday, focused on reducing gang violence and shootings in North Fresno. Twenty-four gang related shootings occurred in Fresno in the first five weeks of 2013, versus 18 during the same timeframe in 2012, a 33% increase.
FRESNO - A suspected “Bulldog” gang members was arrested after leading police on a pursuit while driving a stolen car and being in possession of a handgun. Early Friday evening a Fresno Police traffic officer working a Saturation patrol saw a 1987 Acura Legend on Belmont Avenue with a paper plate attached where the rear license plate should have been.
