Larry Hill (74) passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was born in Colorado and a resident of Madera since 1948. Larry graduated from Madera High School Class of 1957. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. Larry was an insurance agent; he owned Foster and Parker Insurance Company until his retirement after 37 years. Larry was very active in the community of Madera; he was a member of the Madera JC's, Madera Golf and C.C., Madera Breakfast Lions, Madera Elks Lodge # 1918 BPOE and the American Legion Post #11 Madera.
He was preceded in death by his parents Haskell and Wilma Buckley, his brother Jerry Hill and his sister Barbara Johnson.
Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Louise Hill, his son, Steven Hill and his wife Tanya, two grandchildren, Lesli and Ryan Hill all of Madera, his brothers, Don Hill and his wife Wanda of Fresno, Bill Hill and his wife Pam, Tom Buckley and his wife Genevieve of Madera, Jim Buckley and his wife Glenda of New Berry Park, CA, his sister-in-law, Jean Hill of Elk Grove, CA. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on: Monday, September 16, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA. Funeral Service will be held on: Tuesday, September 17, 2013, 11:00 am at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA. Interment to follow at: Arbor Vitae Cemetery Mausoleum, Madera, CA.
