MADERA - The Madera Fair is proud to introduce A Taste of Oaxaca on Sunday, September 8th, in partnership with Comite Guelaquetza Madera!
On the final day of the Madera Fair at the Patio Stage, 'A Taste of Oaxaca,' a vibrant celebration of Oaxacan culture that promises a family-oriented, interactive experience suitable for all ages. This event will feature an array of artisans and food vendors, exciting cultural entertainment, and the much-anticipated 'Best Taste' Oaxacan Mole contest.
All are FREE to enter with your paid gate admission. Live Music and songs will fill the atmosphere. Vibrant displays in elaborate costumes, giant puppets called "monos de calenda," and marmotas for guests to see representing different Oaxacan regions. Watch beautiful demonstrations with textiles, braiding, dancing, and more.
Get ready to shop traditional Oaxacan handmade crafts, textiles, pottery, and other regional goods. You can taste various Oaxacan cuisine, including tlayudas, mole, regional specialties, and MEZCAL TASTING! Watch the best mole awarded to one of three local Oaxacan restaurants live on stage.
