Former Madera High History Teacher Passes at 93: Frank Brunolli

MADERA - Frank Brunolli passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, October 12, 2024. He spent 93 joyful years on earth, during which time he was a Valley Pole Vaulting Champion and served in the Coast Guard in South Korea and Japan.

Born in Madera, California, you may have had him as your high school history teacher or coach at Madera High School, saw him working the ICF salami booth at the Harvest Festival, or listened to his voice in the St. Joachim's choir. He loved singing, gardening, woodworking, and praying daily for his loved ones.

The baby of nine siblings, he was a loving little brother who followed his older brother John everywhere, including to Heaven. He has been reunited with his parents, Frank and Columba, and siblings Josephine, Mary, Dave, Virginia, Bob, Matilda, and John.

Frank was a devoted husband, father, nono, and bisnono who is survived by his wife Louise; his children Michael and Leslie Brunolli, Lori and Steve Combs, Louanne and John Pentorali, Jolynn and John Dariano; his grandchildren Danielle, Juliana, Sara, Amy, Steven, Lisa, Francesca, Brandon, and Courtney; his great-grandchildren Eve, Zachariah, Lily, Sofia, Trinity, Olivia, Norah, and Micah; his beloved sister Eileen; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jay Chapel is handling the services, but no service times have been announced as of press time. The family wishes all gifts be made to the Saint Joachim Church Holy Family Table.

Ti amo Nono!
