Daniel Lawrence “Bud” Leach (84)

Bud Leach (84) passed away peacefully on October 1st, 2017 at Cedar Creek. He was born on April 19th, 1933 in Meeker, OK to D.L. and Martha Leach. His family moved to California when Bud was only six months old. Until his retirement in 2008, Bud farmed in the Dixieland area for over 50 years growing alfalfa, cotton and almonds. He was a kind and gentle man and would do anything for his family. He will be greatly missed.

Bud loved God, family, spending time in the mountains, RVing to different places, and watching the San Francisco Giants and the 49ers. He especially looked forward to his annual deer hunting pack trips to String Meadow with his family and friends. Bud also enjoyed his grandchildren; they held a very special place in his heart.

Bud married Betty Sloan on June 23rd, 1951 and they were married almost 60 years until her passing in 2010. Bud later married Evelyn Edwards whom he had known since high school.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty, his sister Margaret Leach, and his brother Gerald Leach.

Bud is survived by his wife Evelyn Leach of Madera, his brother K.O. Leach, his two daughters Brenda and her husband Carl Rollins of Madera, and Lori Peters and her husband John Dougherty of Madera, his son Ron and his wife Debbie Leach of Madera, his six grandchildren: Mark and his wife Cari Rollins, Rob and his wife Meggan Rollins, Katie and her husband Jose Santiago, Erik Peters, Robin and her husband Rudy Hernandez, and Katy Thompson, as well as ten great-grandchildren: Taylor, Logan, Kyndal, Brilynn, Brody, Chase, Gabriel, Kitsley, Jacie and Wyatt. Bud also leaves behind Evelyn’s children: Chuck and his wife Carolyn Edwards, Gary and his wife Cindy Edwards and Dan and his wife Cindy Edwards, along with all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Tina and Anna, as well as Optimal Hospice and Cedar Creek for their exceptional care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley West Christian Center, 101 W. Adell Street, Madera, CA 93638 or to Optimal Hospice, 6780 North West, Suite 101, Fresno, CA 93711.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12th, 2017 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 13th, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA.
Interment immediately following at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, Ca.
