2018 Fresno Grizzlies Playoff Tickets Now On Sale; Five Potential Home Postseason Dates in September at Chukchansi Park

FRESNO -  Fresno Grizzlies playoff tickets are officially on sale for the 2018 Pacific Coast League Postseason, by visiting FresnoGrizzlies.com or the Chukchansi Park ticket office, during games or normal business hours.  The “Hunt for the Playoffs” is presented by Helena Agri-Enterprises.  As of August 9, Fresno leads their Pacific Northern Division competition by seven games (accounting for a head-to-head tiebreaker with Reno), with 25 regular season contests remaining.  With a 66-49 record, the Grizzlies’ “magic number” to clinch the division is 19 (any combination of Reno losses and Fresno wins).

Should Fresno complete their run as division champion as expected, PCL playoff procedure will see them host games three, four (if necessary) and five (if necessary) of the Pacific Conference Championship Series, on September 7-9 (Friday through Sunday).  Should the Grizzlies advance to the PCL Championship Series, games one and two of the best-of-five series would be hosted at Fresno’s Chukchansi Park, on September 11-12 (Tuesday and Wednesday).  Individual-game tickets are now available for all five potential home playoff dates, at regular season prices (beginning as low as $10).  Post-game fireworks will follow Game 3 of the Pacific Conference Championship series, on Friday, September 7.

PLAYOFF PACKAGES:  Fans may purchase an all-inclusive playoff package for $40 per seat (field box tickets), which will guarantee any and all home playoff games the Grizzlies host, in either series.

The Grizzlies, who will extend their franchise record streak of consecutive winning seasons to four in 2018, are nearing their second division championship and playoff berth in four years.  In 2015, Fresno captured their first PCL title and the Triple-A National Championship, in the franchise’s first season affiliated with the Houston Astros.    The Grizzlies have been alone in first place every day of the season since April 12, and have been at least tied for first place every day since April 9, the fifth game of the season, a near “wire-to-wire” run.

Beginning with the August 9 home game against Albuquerque, fans will be updated nightly on the Grizzlies’ pursuit of a division title thanks to “Hunt for the Playoffs,” presented by Helena Agri-Enterprises, who will also be providing rally towels at the gates for fans as the playoff action gets underway this September (first 2,000 fans).  14 regular season home games remain in Downtown Fresno.  Season ticket holders renewing their seats for 2019 will be able to take advantage of complimentary playoff tickets, and should contact their sales rep in the front office with any specific questions.

“We’ve been spoiled to have numerous top prospects and four very good teams since 2015 in Fresno, but postseason appearances are never to be taken for granted,” said Fresno Grizzlies president Derek Franks.  “It’s so difficult to sustain excellence over the course of a season, as deserving players are called to the Majors, but the depth of the Astros organization is remarkable.  We know Grizzlies fans and all of Fresno will be behind us as we strive to hang a second championship banner at Chukchansi Park.”
