Fresno State Men's Golf: Pacific Invitational Round 1

STOCKTON – Fresno State men’s golf sits in 13th place among the 20-team field after 18 holes at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational. Leading the Bulldogs is junior Alex Lee, who is tied for second on the individual leaderboard after firing a 4-under-par 68. Lee shot a 4-under-par 32 on the back nine to begin his round thanks to four birdies and five pars. He went on to post an even-par 36 on the front nine to finish at 4-under-par for the day. It marks his lowest round of the season thus far and his first in the 60s.

Lane Pulliam is second on the Fresno State leaderboard and tied for 34th individually after round one. Pulliam was 1-under-par after six holes but double-bogeyed the 18th to finish his first nine at 1-over-par. He would bounce back on the front, compiling two birdies, six pars and a bogey en route to an even-par 72. 


Allison Pegged Bulldogs’ Second MW Defensive Player of the Week in Last Three Weeks

FRESNO – Fresno State sophomore Jeffrey Allison was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, as announced by the league. 

It had been since November 10, 2014 since Fresno State had a student-athlete named a MW Player of the Week - LB Kyrie Wilson - when sophomore defensive back Juju Hughes was named the league's defensive player of the week on Oct. 9 after visiting San Jose State, with Allison named the MW defensive player of the week on Monday for his performance at San Diego State, the Bulldogs have had two in the last three weeks. 

Fresno State Football: 'Dogs Defense Reigns Supreme in 27-3 Defeat of Aztecs

SAN DIEGO - Behind a career-high three rushing touchdowns from sophomore running back Josh Hokit, Fresno State dominated San Diego State 27-3 in a Mountain West showdown at SDCCU Stadium on Saturday evening. "The guys worked real hard tonight and it is nice to get some validation defeating a great team like San Diego State on the road," said head coach Jeff Tedford. 

Fresno State (5-2, 4-0 MW) won its fourth straight game on Saturday by discarding San Diego State (6-2, 2-2 MW) with a balanced attack of running the ball (199 yards) and taking strikes through the air when needed (176 yards), outgaining the Aztecs 375-255 on the night. It was the third time this season that the Bulldogs have held their opponents to less than 300 yards of total offense.

Equestrian: No.8 Bulldogs Face No.10 Jackrabbits in First Road Competition

BROOKINGS, S.D. - The No. 8 Fresno State equestrian team is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 21 after three weeks without a single contest. The 'Dogs moved up to the No. 8 slot in this week's NCEA Coaches' Poll. The Bulldogs are set to travel to South Dakota State to face the No.10 Jackrabbits for the second time this season. The first ride is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. PT.

"We are excited for our first road trip." said head coach Eric Hubbard. "This group is ready to take on South Dakota State on their turf. We haven't been there in a few years so we have really focused on our mental game as well as our riding."

Fresno State Men's Basketball: Bulldogs Predicted to Be MW Title Contender

LAS VEGAS -- The countdown to the tip off of the 2017-18 men's basketball season is in its final weeks and Fresno State is once again projected by a media panel to be a key contender in the Mountain West championship race, the league office announced on Wednesday morning from Las Vegas at the MW's Men's Basketball Media Summit.

"Our expectations are going to be the same that they have always been since I have been here," Fresno State seventh-year head coach Rodney Terry said. "We are going to put a team out there that is going to play as hard as they can every night. We are going to try to compete for a regular season championship and have some success in postseason play."

2017 NBA Championship Ring Unveiled at Golden State Warriors Home Opener

LOS ANGELES - The NBA Champion Golden State Warriors received their 2016-17 NBA Championship rings during a special pre-game ceremony, October 17th. Warriors Owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber selected Jason of Beverly Hills, who also designed their 2015 ring, to design and manufacture the Golden State Warriors 2017 NBA Championship ring.

The total carat weight of the player's rings is 11 carats of diamonds and blue sapphires, which is more than any other championship ring across all four major sports. "Jason of Beverly Hills continues to set the bar higher and higher when it comes to championship rings," said Warriors' Assistant General Manager Kirk Lacob.  "We tasked them with producing a ring that captured the essence of our record-setting season while also acknowledging our tremendous history as an organization. The results were spectacular for the second time in three years."
