SAN JOSE - The Fresno State football team regained control of the Valley Trophy on Saturday evening with a 27-10 victory at San Jose State, topping the Spartans behind three first-half touchdowns, and a stifling defense that allowed just 205 yards and forced four turnovers.
"It's always nice to come away with a victory," said head coach Jeff Tedford. "We can get a lot better, but it's great to bring the trophy home. That's something we talked all week about, and we take pride in that."
