Brigitte Thibault Continues to Pace Bulldogs at LVCS

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Fresno State fired a 4-over-par 292 in the second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, hosted by UNLV at Boulder Creek Golf Club on Monday. The Bulldogs currently sit alone in eighth place with a 7-over-par 583 through two rounds (291-292), up a spot from yesterday. Two Bulldogs are in the top 20 in the leaderboards through day two.

The Bulldogs were led by sophomore Brigitte Thibault and freshman Jessica Hall who each fired a 2-under-par 70 in the second round. Thibault (69-70=139) is currently tied at fourth place while Hall (72-70=142) moves up 10 spots in the leaderboard to sit tied for 16th at the end of the second round.


2018 Fresno State Winter Baseball Academy Registration Now Open

FRESNO -  The Bulldog baseball program will host two Winter Baseball Academy camps in December for campers ages five through junior college. Athletes from the age of five through junior college aged players are welcome to take part in the academy that will be run by Fresno State coaches and players in December.

The coaches, including head coach Mike Batesole, a two-time national coach of the year, and student-athletes will help run a pair of separate camps, both of which will be held at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium.

Foxes Announce Player Try-outs Set for December 8-9 - New Talent Sought as the Club Builds for the 2019 Season

FRESNO -  Fresno FC head coach Adam Smith announced Monday that the Foxes will hold an open tryout to seek new talent for the 2019 USL Championship season. "We're thrilled to continue building a strong foundation for professional soccer in the Central Valley and hope to find some talented individuals who will help the Foxes in our quest for a USL Cup Championship," said coach Smith. "From last year's tryouts we were able to find impactful players in Alex Cooper, Renato Bustamante, and Ramon Martin Del Campo, and hope we can see similar results in December."

The tryouts will be held the weekend of December 8th and 9th at Fresno City College. The tryout is open to male players ages 18 and over, who have at least one year of professional playing experience or experience at the PDL or NCAA Division I levels.

Fresno State Football: Bulldogs' Defense Stifles Cowboys in 27-3 Victory

FRESNO -  The Fresno State football team defeated Wyoming 27-3 on Saturday evening at Bulldog Stadium to improve to 5-1 on the season and 2-0 in Mountain West play. Fresno State's defense limited Wyoming to 221 total yards and forced one turnover while the Bulldog offense totaled 391 yards and did not commit a turnover.

Senior quarterback Marcus McMaryion accounted for four total touchdowns in the game, two passing and two rushing. He completed 22-of-32 passes for 287 yards and ran for a season-high 53 yards on seven carries. McMaryion has now accounted for 18 touchdowns this season - 11 passing and seven rushing.

'Dogs Men's Golf Stay Put in Final Round of Alister MacKenzie Invitational

FAIRFAX, Calif. - The Fresno State men's golf team concluded the final round of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, hosted by Cal, at Meadow Club on Tuesday. The 'Dogs finished the tournament in 13th place with a score of 10-over-par 862 (290-280-292) to end the tournament.

Redshirt Senior Cody Riecks led Fresno State in the tournament, carding an even-par 71 in the final round. The Auburn, Calif., native finished the tournament tied for 41st place with an overall score of 1-over-par 214.

Fresno State Women's Golf Cards Strong Final Round to Finish Third at Aggie Invitational

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Fresno State women's golf team fired a strong final round of the Aggie Invitational, hosted by New Mexico State, at the NMSU Golf Course on Wednesday. The Bulldogs made a leap in the leaderboard to finish the tournament in third place with a 26-over-par 890 (297-302-291).

As a team, the Bulldogs were just one stroke behind the third round leader, Cal Baptist. Fresno State fired a 291 in its final round for its best score of the tournament, which proved to be enough to move the team up two slots in the leaderboard.

Bulldogs Open Mountain West Play with 21-3 Road Win at Nevada

RENO, Nev. - Behind stout defense from the Bulldogs and two touchdowns from sophomore running back Ronnie Rivers, Fresno State defeated Nevada 21-3 in its Mountain West opener on Saturday evening at Mackay Stadium. Holding Nevada to only a field goal in the contest, the Fresno State defense forced three turnovers and limited the Wolf Pack to 3.8 yards per play on offense.

Senior quarterback Marcus McMaryion went 20-of-28 passing, completing better than 70 percent of his throws for the fourth time in five games. He racked up 241 yards and tossed two touchdowns. The beneficiary to each of McMaryion's touchdown throws were senior wide receiver KeeSean Johnson (27-yard TD) and Rivers (19-yard TD). Johnson had a team-high seven receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown while Rivers' TD grab was his sole reception on the evening. Junior tight end Jared Rice tallied a team-high and career-high 98 yards on three receptions which included a career-long 69-yard reception.
